最近，有人问我：“做平面设计的，需不需要学三维建模？”这个问题乍一听有点像在问“炒菜是不是一定要用高压锅”。答案是——看你要做的菜是什么。平面设计和三维建模，一个是视觉呈现，一个是空间构建，两者虽不是硬绑定，但放在当下设计圈的多元需求中，还真有点“你中有我，我中有你”的意思。那么，平面设计师要不要学三维建模？我们不妨从以下几个角度来了解一下。

The answer is - it depends on what dish you want to make. Graphic design and 3D modeling, one is visual presentation, and the other is spatial construction. Although the two are not rigidly bound, they have a bit of a "you have me, I have you" meaning when placed in the diverse needs of the current design circle. 三维建模本质上是用软件在虚拟空间里“捏”出三维的物体，而平面设计则是通过平面工具在二维空间里创造视觉艺术。过去，这俩领域泾渭分明，但随着技术的发展，设计行业开始变得“卷”起来——平面设计要更有创意，三维建模要更贴近视觉需求。
3D modeling is essentially the use of software to "pinch" three-dimensional objects in virtual space, while graphic design is the creation of visual art in two-dimensional space through flat tools. In the past, these two fields were clearly defined, but with the development of technology, the design industry has begun to become "intertwined" - graphic design needs to be more creative, and 3D modeling needs to be closer to visual needs.
当下，许多平面设计作品开始融入三维元素，比如海报中酷炫的立体字、UI设计中动态的三维效果，甚至是品牌宣传中带有场景感的视觉呈现。这些需求，催生了“平面+三维”的混合设计趋势。简单来说，三维建模，已经不再是纯三维设计师的专属技能，平面设计师如果懂点三维，确实有额外加成。
Currently, many graphic design works are incorporating 3D elements, such as cool 3D characters in posters, dynamic 3D effects in UI design, and even visual presentations with a sense of scene in brand promotion. These demands have given rise to a mixed design trend of "flat+three-dimensional". Simply put, 3D modeling is no longer the exclusive skill of pure 3D designers.
